Engine 5

Engine 5 is the department's first run pumper. Built in 1994, it has a Spartan chassis and a Smeal body. The pumping capacity is 1,500 gallons per minute. It has a 1,000-gallon water tank and a 50-gallon foam tank. The attack lines include a 150-foot 1.75-inch bumper mount, two 1.75-inch crosslays, a 2.5-inch crosslay and a 250-foot rear 1.75-inch preconnect. For a bigger punch, it also has a 250-foot 2.5-inch crosslay, a 2.5-inch rear preconnect and a 3-inch prepiped "stinger" deck gun. It seats six fully equipped firefighters and has enough equipment to be self-sufficient at a structure fire for 10 minutes. The main supply hose is 1,000 feet of 5-inch hose. The vehicle carries seven Scott 4.5 air packs and five spare bottles.



Engine 6

Engine 6 is a 1998 Emergency One Cyclone pumper. It acts as the department's hose wagon and supply pumper. It has a 1,250-gallon-per-minute pump, a 1,000-gallon water tank and a 50-gallon foam tank. It carries 1,900 feet of 5-inch hose. In its dual role as a suppression vehicle, it carries two 1.75-inch crosslays and a rear 2.5-inch preconnect. A "stinger" deck gun is prepiped. The vehicle's main function is to supply water to Engine 5 or the aerial tower. It has a 1,500GPM through the pump foam system.


Tanker

Tanker 1 is a 2005 mack truck that was custom built by Four Guys. It has a 500-gallon-per-minute pump and a 2,500-gasllon tank. For tanker shuttles, the tank has a three way Newton 10-inch hydrolic dump valves and can be emptied in 90 seconds. It carries a 3,000-gallon fold-a-tank. For suppression activities, it has 2, 200 feet, 1-1/4-inch crosslays. For brush fires, there is 200-feet of 1-1/4-inch forestry hose ready to hook to a preconnect. The tanker also carries 100 feet of 5-inch and 100 feet if 3-inch.



Utility 1

Utility 1 is a 2001 Ford F350 pickup that is used as a brush truck and fire police response vehicle. For brush fires, a slide-in unit is used for suppression. It has a 200-gallon-per-minute pump and a 220-gallon water tank. It carries various firefighting equipment, including eight Indian tanks.



Brush Truck

The brush truck is a 1966 Jeep acquired from the U.S. Army surplus inventory. It has a 350-gallon-per-minute pump and a 110-gallon water tank. For fire attack in the woods, it carries four Indian tanks, 200 feet of forestry hose preconnected, 500 feet of 2.5-inch supply line, and 600 feet of forestry hose in rolls. Assorted forestry hand tools include rakes, brooms and chainsaws.
