Bethel Historical Firefighters Museum

The Bethel Historical Firefighters Museum, located on the firehouse property, contains firefighting memorabilia dating back to the 1790s. Among the items on display are fire coats, helmets, badges, hand-drawn fire equipment, fire marks and hundreds of other pieces. The center piece is "Old Forgotten," the department's original hand-drawn hand pumper. It was built circa 1795 and was in use until the early 1900s.

The museum is currently being renovated and when the restoration is complete it will only be open on special occasions and by appointment. When the time comes local groups may arrange a tour of the museum by calling the firehouse at (203) 794-8521.
